Arrête ton cinéma!

Dans un article paru ce matin dans The Guardian, on apprenait qu'enfin Steven Spielberg avait annoncé son retrait de l'organisation des prochains Jeux Olympiques de Pékin.

Tonton Spielberg, qui y agissait comme conseiller artistique, a fini par intégrer l'information: l'achat de pétrole par la Chine et le génocide au Darfur ne sont pas sans rapport l'un avec l'autre...
Mieux vaux tard que jamais

"I find that my conscience will not allow me to continue business as usual. At this point, my time and energy must be spent not on Olympic ceremonies but on doing all I can to help bring an end to the unspeakable crimes against humanity that continue to be committed in Darfur."

La Chine n'est évidemment pas contente et a mollement répliqué ceci:

"As the Darfur issue is neither an internal issue of China, nor is it caused by China, it is completely unreasonable, irresponsible and unfair for certain organisations and individuals to link the two as one"

Peut-être aurons-nous nos oscars. Pour les JO, par contre, les paris restent ouverts.
